I enjoyed the fast pace, and practice conversations within the classes.

Robert from Fall 2019

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

Outside of classes, I thought the school picnic was fun, and a good way to get to know my classmates better.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most productive were the classes, and the interaction that happened within the classes. I enjoyed the fast pace, and practice conversations within the classes. Honestly, nothing in particular comes to mind when I try to think of the "least interesting/productive" thing.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Practice conversations in class; the constant tests (vocab; grammar; kanji; etc), which forced me to digest the material quickly.

Testimonials

Going to class every day, and the workload, gave me a sense of what living in Japan would be like. I was able to learn Japanese daily, as well as have enough time in the day to study and explore the country.
