The main six-story temporary KCP building

KCP–Always Improving

Most of you have likely witnessed construction or renovation projects on your home campuses. While a temporary inconvenience, the raising of a new building clearly indicates that the campus is improving. KCP International is joining the ranks of campuses committing to a major upgrade.

KCP International President Takusuke Kinoshita explains, “To continue our role as a leading school, KCP will tear down the current school building and construct a brand new building on that spot. The total square footage (floor area) of the new building will be almost twice as much as the current building.”

The new construction will start in October, 2012, and we are planning to equip the new building with a full set of useful facilities and technology to provide the best environment possible for your study abroad in Japan.

While the construction is ongoing, the school will hold classes in a nearby six-story building that has been used before for KCP International as well as in the eight-story annex. These buildings include a student lounge and are close to a public library, Yotsuya Kumin Center (community hall), and a family mart (convenience store).

KCP International USA Program Mike Anderson  says, “Of course, the temporary relocation will not affect the quality or attention we give to our students. Our students are always our first priority, and we will continue to provide outstanding instruction, coordination, and support services for you during this transition time.”

Completion of the construction project is expected in December, 2013. Stay tuned for occasional updates.
