I’ve taken three courses in Japanese and can read and write pretty well. Can I get into Level 2?
KCP teaches five language modes at once: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar. To be at any level beyond Level I, students must demonstrate sufficient mastery in all five modes. Since Japanese language instruction in U.S. universities has no national proficiency standards, KCP relies on a student’s results in the placement exam.
The point is, there is no guarantee what level you will be assigned to.
