  • This application process should take you approximately 15 minutes.
  • If your school does not require a “school of credit” in the U.S. and will accept a KCP grade report, you can apply here, for credit.  Otherwise, apply through one of our sponsor universities:

  • You must complete this online application in one session; sorry, but there is no interim way to save the form.
  • This online application assumes you will pay your non-refundable application deposit with a credit card.

Before you begin

(1) Review your eligibility and our refund policy.

If you are signing up for multiple terms or extended programs, please read Passport and Visa

(2) Complete your written personal essay.

You can then just copy it into the online application form. It is a 500-word essay on why you want to enroll in KCP, including expectations for your Japan experience, academic/professional goals, and previous travel or study in Japan.

(3) Have your credit card and billing information ready.

Sponsor Universities:

These sponsor universities can grant transfer credit and may even be able to offer financial aid. Most participants earning credit from our sponsor schools do not actually attend these schools.
