Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I really enjoyed the Sports Day and seeing the sakura at Shinjuku Gyoen. I think they were great opportunities to get closer with my teachers and other students. I also really enjoyed participating in the Hanazono Matsuri.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The best part of the program was definitely the conversation practice in class and in the exams. I felt like I was really able to improve.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

The pair work and games were definitely the most helpful for me.

What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

Develop a good study routine early, because once the test/quiz schedule picks up you will need to have good habits to keep up.

Testimonials

I definitely appreciate being able to understand the context between the language and Japan’s culture. For me, I am able to better able to retain concepts if I understand how they came to be, and I was able to make the connections through the culture classes.
