Being surrounded by students who speak other languages and having Japanese as our only common language made us all learn quicker!

I would say it was more engaging learning in the language you’re trying to learn.

Make sure to keep on top of your work. For as hard as it is it’s not really that hard if you have a good enough handle on your abilities.

Also, go out of your way to speak to fluent speakers and take advantage of your opportunity to get real practice.

Use Anki, talk with your friends about how to study especially those who have been in level 4, and prepare to work hard to get good grades.

The lectures and Field trip combo was very valuable. Makes the learning very memorable.

I enjoyed the school trip to Chichibu because of the beautiful view of the flowers. I also enjoyed being able to make Kabuto as an activity for Children’s Day.

I found the teacher engagement with class conversations very helpful!

For American beginners like me, using the English support sessions is a great way to become more familiar with new material and a good chance to ask any questions you might have.

Having quizzes everyday was best to keep me motivated.
