The most productive aspect of the program was the fact that the teacher spoke nothing but Japanese. This seriously helped my listening skills, which was something I had a lot of trouble with.

The walking trip we took around Shinjuku was very fun and really helped me feel more comfortable walking around the city on my own. I wasn’t used to big cities, so I feel without this initial guided tour, I wouldn’t have been as confident in my solo explorations.

Get ready for intensive language study. Also, prepare to get disappointed when you don’t quite meet your expectations, but surpassing that makes it all the better. The staff is super helpful, so don’t hesitate if you have any concerns or questions.
