If you find life in Japan suitable for you, find a community.

Bryan from Summer 2025

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

言葉 Day was very fun because I was allowed to not only perform, but show some creativity while working towards a goal together with my classmates as a team.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most interest aspects of KCP is the bond that develops between the students and teachers which allow for community and language practice.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

The most helpful learning technique for me was simply attempting to use a new grammar point and being corrected if I was wrong.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

If you find life in Japan suitable for you, find a community. I am thankful I did because now I have people who will be waiting for me when I come back.

Testimonials

I selected it because I wanted a reputable and intensive program that would take a student who’s no longer affiliated with a college. KCP was the only program I found that satisfied this criteria. It also helped a lot that my friend recommended it.
