Talking about issues concerning foreigners in Japan especially was helpful, as it prepared me for what to expect as a foreigner living in Japan. It also gave me a deeper understanding of the Japanese people and, as a result, the language that I’m studying.

I really enjoyed the trips. I feel that being able to see something first hand is very different than reading or listening about it.

The teachers that I had (Mamiya Sensei, Saitou Sensei & Kawashima Sensei) were all so kind and helpful and really added so much depth to their lessons that they made everyday learning fun and beneficial.

I was able to experience a small bit of more traditional Japanese culture and see the large difference of Japan’s geography from America’s.

I’ve read on previous evaluations that the teachers really do want to help you learn, and I experienced this first hand and can confirm that its true!

If you’re thinking about doing this program , go for it ! You will improve your Japanese in so many ways and learn more about Japanese culture that you never knew of.

Learning about the Japanese beliefs on life really truly opened my eyes and head it makes me want to find out more about the Japanese culture.

KCP is a place where many cultures intersect, and learning how to talk about that intersection in Japanese (sharing your own culture and asking about others) is really fascinating.

This school is great at helping you to greatly improve your Japanese language skills, if you are willing to put time and effort into it.

English support helped, but also the way the instructors went through the chapter. They were not going too fast or too slow in terms o f the pacing
